"Locals Only" Group Exhibition
‘Locals Only’ (Main Gallery)
showcased work from over 80 Atlanta-based artists, each piece inspired by the city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia. The show celebrated the spirit of the South through the eyes of the artists who called it home.
On view in the Main Gallery, the exhibition also featured puppets on loan from the Center for Puppetry Arts, offering an up-close look at the characters that had brought generations of stories to life. The West Annex presented the ‘Center for Puppetry Arts Retrospective,’ highlighting archival photography and behind-the-scenes moments that honored the Center’s decades-long impact on Atlanta and its iconic partnership with The Jim Henson Company.
‘Through The Lens’ (East Annex)
The East Annex featured ‘Through the Lens,’ a group photography exhibition spotlighting four Atlanta-based photographers, each bringing a unique perspective to the city’s landscape, culture, and everyday life. From capturing urban scenes and neighborhood stories to exploring personal narratives within the broader Atlanta community, their work adds an intimate and dynamic visual layer to the celebration of local creativity.
