"Where The Light Is"

“Bursting through dark and moody backgrounds, the flowers in “Where the Light Is” act as a reminder of hope even in the darkness. Just as nature requires light to thrive and grow, so do we. Each painting aims to encourage the viewer to not only consider where this light is coming from but to position themselves toward it.”

Sami takes all of her own reference photos, many of which were taken from local flower shops or her own garden. Each 6x6" painting was painted from a reference photo taken at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
