Often Seen Rarely Spoken (OSRS) is a five-person art collective established in 2016. United by their shared passion for creation they have recently focused on bringing elements from their outdoor work into studio practices. In 2023, they began exploring a new direction that reflects their aesthetic tastes and blends their interests in graphic design, street art, and painting.
For this series, OSRS has created paintings that reimagine traditional still life art by juxtaposing found objects with bold flat colors and playful shapes. The objects highlighted—some nostalgic, others mundane—are reinterpreted in ways that feel both fresh and surreal. Drawing on their expertise in color theory, digital processes, and design principles, they have crafted visually engaging compositions.
The result is a collection of vibrant, abstract scenes that invite viewers to see the ordinary in a new and thought-provoking way.
